QuickPair Pairing Instructions
Headsets with QuickPair are automatically in pairing mode when powered on until paired with the first device.

• Step 1: Start with headset powered OFF. Hold down headset Call Control button for four seconds–release when Indicator Light flashes red and blue. Headset is now discoverable. Headset will remain discoverable until it is paired with its first device.
• Step 2: Use your device’s menu to enter its pairing mode and select 220Plantronics on the display. 0000 is the pairing passkey.
• Subsequent Pairings: To manually place headset in Pairing Mode, begin with the headset turned off, then press the call control button for 8-10 seconds until the headset indicator light flashes red and blue. The headset is now in pairing mode for the next 60 seconds. To pair with a phone, repeat Step 2.
• Reconnection for Previously Paired Devices: If the Bluetooth phone and your Plantronics Bluetooth headset have been out of range for an extended amount of time or if the headset and/or phone were turned off and do not automatically reconnect, simply do a short press of the call control button and the devices will reconnect.

i think that if you pay for a nice headset like this, the little rubber behind-your-ear-thingy should at least stay on. this is a great bluetooth headset: easy set-up, clear reception, good voice transfer, good battery life. but i haven’t used it for a while now. why? because i can’t fit super glue on my budget. what’s the super glue for, you ask? to glue the behind-the-ear-piece on! that’s why this review gets 4 stars instead of 5 – plantronics did good on the electronics, but mediocre on the ergonomics. I love this bluetooth! its tiny and fits on your ear effortlessly. the sound quality is pretty nice and has features like linking up to your voice command in the phone, mute your own side when you are doing something and dont want to disrupt the conversation, and pretty easy link up to phone. It was my first bluetooth and after breaking it due to a spill, i decided to buy it again! its very cheap at only . CONS: the ear clip on they provide will break in a heart beat so don’t even try. if you have a heavy ear wax production, this thing will fall right out. dont expect to wear this all day as it will fall out of your head. i simply just wear it when i get a call and put it in the pocket when i dont. or get some putty material that hardens so that you can mold a ear piece to it, which is what i recently did. Pairing the Headset for the First Time

1. Ensure that your phone is switched on and the headset is switched off.
2. Switching on the headset enters it into pairing mode, and the blue indicator light starts to flash quickly.
3. Activate the Bluetooth feature on your phone (or other Bluetooth-enabled device), and set the phone to search for Bluetooth devices.
4. Select the headset from the list of found devices.
5. Enter the passcode 0000 to pair and connect the headset to your phone. In some devices you may need to make the connection separately after pairing.

   If the pairing is successful, the headset appears in the phone menu where you can view the currently paired Bluetooth devices. When the headset is connected to your device and is ready for use, the blue indicator light flashes slowly.

Fitting: It’s a very light and slim, and most weight is distributed on top half the headset. So it can fit very securely in my ear without using the earhook. The earhook is made of aluminum as well, so it is ridged and thin. And it goes very well with my glasses. I prefer not using the hook.

Functions: Simple design, no extra function. Only dial last number works. It has no disconnecting function and does not support multi connect, so you have to disconnect it manually from your phone in order to connect to 2nd device. Powering on and off are very quick. Charging is quick. Very stable bluetooth connection with both my phone and computer.

Audio: Adequate audio quality. You’d probably not to use it in a noise enviroment. Voice is clean and neutral, but you can hear noise very clearly as well.

Jawbone Icon “The Thinker” Bluetooth headset (Silver wheat) Review

I have owned all of the Jawbone models since the first. All are small and I have lost several. I now carry it in a separate zipper case with my phone number inside.

I had difficulty with some previous models. I never could get a comfortable fit with the wire ear loops. Later I learned to use only the rubber ear piece.

The greatest problem with previous models was the use of the pressure sensitive areas of the Jawbone. Reaching to adjust the position during a phone call would sometimes terminate the call or to turn off the Bluetooth connections. Also pressure on it in my small case would sometimes turn it “On” depleting the battery.

The redesign of the Icon has solved these problems as well as improving noise cancellation.

For me the greatest improvement has been the elimination of the pressure sensitive points.

The Icon now has a small sliding switch on the inside surface. Sliding this switch, showing a blue dot, automatically connects the Bluetooth feature of the phone. In addition, pressing a small pressure switch on the top surface next to the ear, allows a voice to announce the remaining talk time available.

Other features include a redesigned charger.

I have also found that the Icon is louder than my Nokia phone earpiece permitting easily heard phone calls in a noisy environment.
